Cookie policy
Last updated 2026-05-19
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies Rtbha uses, why we use them, and how you control them. It complements the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your browser so it can remember you across page loads — to keep you signed in, remember your language, or measure how the site is used.
We also use a few similar technologies that aren't strictly "cookies" — localStorage and session storage in your browser, and image pixels embedded by third-party services. Where it matters, we treat them the same as cookies.
Categories we use
1. Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function. We can't turn them off and they don't store anything you can be identified by other than session state.
- Session cookie. Set when you sign in. Used to keep you signed in across pages. Cleared when you sign out.
- CSRF token. A short-lived value used to protect form submissions against forgery.
- Locale preference. Remembers whether you're using the English or Arabic interface.
2. Functional (your choice)
We set these only after you accept the cookie banner. They remember preferences but aren't required.
- Consent preferences. Stores your choices on the cookie banner so we don't ask again on every page.
3. Advertising (your choice)
If you accept advertising cookies, we display ads on public marketing pages (home, blog, tools, legal). The ads themselves are served by Google AdSense, which sets its own cookies for ad frequency capping, fraud prevention, and (where the law allows) personalized ad selection.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time at adssettings.google.com without changing your Rtbha experience.
4. Analytics
We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies. If we add an analytics tool later, this page will be updated and you will be re-prompted via the cookie banner.
How to control cookies
You have three options:
- Decline at the banner. When you first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept all, decline non-essential, or customize by category.
- Change your mind later. A link in the footer ("Cookie settings") reopens the banner so you can change your selection.
- Clear cookies in your browser. All major browsers let you delete cookies or block them entirely. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the site from functioning.
Third-party cookies and pixels
When advertising is enabled, the following third parties may set cookies via our public pages:
- Google AdSense / Google Ads — for ad serving, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
- Stripe (only on
/upgradeif you proceed to checkout) — for fraud prevention and session continuity inside the Stripe-hosted checkout.
We do not embed Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, or other social pixels by default. If you accept advertising cookies, the ads served by AdSense may include creative from any advertiser bidding on our inventory.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when we add or remove categories of cookies. The lastUpdated date at the top reflects the most recent change.
